Apparently, and who knew this, I felt like I had enough time on my hands to create a "fourth child" so to speak. I finally, FINALLY feel like an adult. What did it you ask? Well I'll tell ya cause it's not having 3 kids, 2 cars, or even a husband or a cat. So far Babe's brought home hand-made art, some new vocabulary and a summer cold. I lay there big smiled and ALL. I just listen; listen to the hums and purrs, the snores and coos, and baby monitors attempting to keep up. like the 4th of July, which is a lot like a solicitor that has no idea what time it is. I like explosions, pretty lights, shrieking tubes of gun powder, all my favorite, though, as of late our "little people" all have the same bedtime which isn't conducive with night life living. But we compromise by setting things on fire during the day.
For some reason matches and lighters being set to things with a fuse seem to bring out the child in everyone and for those already a child; infancy.

How could you not. Our twins got 3 shots today and 1 oral medicine. oh yes, the rain. Our lawns look normal but cease to dry out so when unsurprised guests such as squirrels and cats step onto it they are met with a false look of tall tufted grass but it is more a delightful combination of shock/horror/confusion/and general ahh its wet its wet and cold but mostly ahh cause its wet.
All night-er frat party continues as the young and the restless drink till they either pass out or spit up unbeknown to babe as she can sleep through anything.

Gained 50lbs, lost 30, yes our family is now complete.... minus one of these in 6-8 years. Moon has set the record for most inches grown in a one week period where Sun literally makes the sweetest noises ever heard. Babe loves them, and asks for one often; a babe of her own. I made it to 37 weeks 5 days before the contractions of our son flipping around to become breech pushing our daughter into my cervix were just too much for one preggo lady to handle so I had a c-section. Our daughter was 1st to arrive weighing 6 lbs. 6oz. and 18.5". 2 minutes later our son arrived weighing 6lbs. 14oz. and 20.24". More pics and fun facts to come next week!We are all so happy and healthy and already home it's just too awesome. I've nicknamed them Sun (our son) and Moon (our daughter) because they are just as breathtaking and different as the night and day.

I made it. Tuesday was a bit of an AhhItHurtsAhh but the kiddos have since shifted again and I have resumed all yard work/weeding/toddler entertaining activities which pass the time quicker then all things electric. Cervix exam shows that I have no reason to assume an early arrival. You're stuck with me super preggo and bendy.Lately Elmo has been refrigerated; micro waved, drowned, and dipped in oatmeal. The tickle me portion of Elmo has been replaced with panic, after all what's left? Thanks for the award Rosemary!

Kiddos are now head down with our daughter's head directly on my cervix, comfy. Our son is laying on top of her and being punished as our daughter is literally kicking him in the bum, classy. Kiddos are healthy and feisty! As of right now my cervix is holding its own but I was informed this could change at any time, yeah! Foot photo!
Weight predictions become less accurate the bigger babes get so these predictions are +/- a pound. Our daughter is 5lbs. 15oz. and our son is 6lbs. even. WHeeeee!

For over 7 months now we've been living with a 2 year old. It's not 'terrible', what's the fuss about? It's hilarious, why just last night babe said, "I am getting sooo sleepy." and Boyfriend said, "Really, what have you been eating?" with a HUGE smile and a bold shout babe hollered, "TIGERS!" We're still laughing about that one. I love this little lovely lady who argues with her toys, who has a deliciously saucy victory potty dance, and who always sings age inappropriate music.

Oh my transverse kiddos, our son is along the top weighing 3lbs. 5ozs. and our daughter is along the bottom weighing 3lbs. 2ozs. Neither one would cooperate for a photo because they were both face down. My c-section has been moved to Monday the 14th of March for billing reasons which is fun and random.Tomorrow is my glucose test which would be babe's fondest dream; to be able to have a liquid-y fun filled breakfast of fruit flavored sugar syrup.

Benefits of progress: I can now see my midwife AND she is awesome! Actually, she's a kick in the pants and a roll on the floor if you want specifics. every inch of cute as we tried to get babe to open the gift, give it a gander, thank the folks who purchased it, then seal it with a hug. Ultimately it took a turn for the hilarious as babe thought these new toys were like the toys in the store and when we told her it was time to go home she gave each toy a hug and told it good bye.

It's the rough life folks I just know it. I get to sleep in, have french toast, play with the kiddo while Boyfriend has the day off. Later in the evening babe has a Christmas type gymnastics performance to which even the grandparents are attending. Five years ago today, on a Thursday Boyfriend and I woke up played some video games, got my hair done and picked up a bouquet. Then we went to some local parks and took some photos, went out to eat and then met up with 20 of our closest family and friends at the local court house and got married; in a blue dress.Afterward we drove a few blocks to a local cafe where everyone picked out a desert for themselves and sipped champagne. 2 hours later we were home. Perfection!

Allergy Wars: Return of the Achhhooo

Normally, on any given "regular" year I have December and January off from allergies. This year I'm going out with a bang; a bang, an achooo, a cough, a runny nose, and a post nasal drip that makes the throat long for laryngitis. I'm a calamity in 3 parts: allergies, pregnant, and humming the Rocky theme song.
Now it could just be the new allergy medicine talking here but I really do believe that babe found a way to talk about herself in the 8th person. Proof might be needed.

and I hear, "Time to wake up girlfriend". I open one eye, then the other and the third attempt to exit the bed reminds me that I'm pregnant. I feel the 1st kick telling me my bladder is too full, then a 2nd telling me my stomach is too empty. As I rub my belly and smile I see babe run by sans-pants and Boyfriend hot on her heels.
The world comes into focus as the cat reminds us all of his breakfast and in the distance I hear "Sweetheart if I have to wear pants then so do you." Priceless.

Technically I own this month and I will tell you why. First we have Boyfriend's and my 5 year wedding anniversary (the 15th) and then we have my birthday (the 21st) and last we have Christmas. This is a trifecta of gift receiving except we don't exchange gifts for our anniversary or birthdays; we already have all the amazing we need.
In our bedroom we have some wedding photos hanging and a Breakfast at Tiffany's poster which is apparently "Mom and Papa smooching".

I wanted to share a video with you this morning of Babe lovingly, carefully-ingly, dedicating-ly, decorating our Christmas tree but that's just not how it went down. Babe awoke from her nap, saw a beautiful sparkling Douglas-fir in the living room and then proceeded to pull her favorite ornaments off as fast as she could.These ornaments still haven't been placed upon the tree but instead have now become her own personal toys as she hides them in her toy bin at bedtime.

One of these little cuties has some rockin' hiccups twice a day already. I've already tried getting the babe to drink from the back of a cup and bend over.

The most handsome man I've ever met came up to me in a college bar not more than 2 miles from where we live now offering to buy me a drink. So I did what any woman would of done, I told him "no" and bought him one instead. Where is he now, at the ER with Babe because she's having trouble breathing.

My favorite symptom to scare folks is my random ability to get violently ill from food I've eaten every day for a month.
